Havana, May 29 (RHC)-- Violinist Manon Galy, from France, and Cuban pianist Jorge Emilio Gonzalez will soon perform two concerts in Havana.
The first of the presentations will be on May 31, at 6:00 p.m. local time, at the Basílica Menor del Convento de San Francisco de Asís, in the capital's Historic Center.
There, the artists will perform works by relevant musicians such as Claude Debussy, Jascha Heifetz, Clara Schumann and Ludwig van Beethoven.
In addition, on June 3 they will offer another presentation at the Teatro Martí, at 7:00 p.m. local time, this time with a program that will include the composers Claude Debussy, Jascha Heifetz, Maurice Ravel, J. L. Fleury, Francis Poulenc and Lili Boulanger.
Both concerts are part of the activities for the Month of French Culture in Cuba, to be held in Havana and Santiago de Cuba until June 4.
Manon Galy and Jorge Emilio Gonzalez met while studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse, in France, and since then they started performing together.
According to the musicians, these two concerts in the Cuban capital are symbolic for them as they represent the rich cultural exchange that characterizes the duo
