Fidel Castro at UNEAC Congress
Santa Clara, June 21 (RHC)-- The traveling exhibition ‘Palabras, imagen y posibilidad’ opened in central Santa Clara City as part of a tour across the country.
The more than 30 photos on display at the José Martí provincial library in Villa Clara, were taken at different moments, during frequent meetings of Revolution leader Fidel Castro with Cuban and foreign artists and intellectuals over nearly 6 decades.
The exhibition is dedicated also to the speech ‘Palabras a los intelectuales’ (Words to Intellectuals), given by Fidel in 1961, considered the first official document alluding to the cultural policy of the Cuban revolutionary process.
Organizers insist that the photos, by different artists, are part of the historical and cultural heritage of the Cuban nation, and so, should be exhibited to different publics, particularly young Cubans.
