Buenos Aires, November 26 (RHC)-- The funeral procession of former Argentinean soccer player Diego Armando Maradona departed on Thursday from the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires to his final resting place in the Bella Vista Cemetery.
Thousands of people mourned him incessantly, some coming from the most remote places, while in other provinces of the southern nation followed the posthumous tribute live.
It was a 35 kilometer journey to the cemetery where his remains rest, with hundreds of people in the streets saying goodbye to "The Greatest of the Great."
Earlier in the day, Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez and Vice President Cristina Fernandez came to the Casa Rosada to pay tribute to Maradona.
