Havana, October 5 (RHC/JIT)-- Three Cuban baseball players traveled abroad on Monday to fulfill their contracts in the professional baseball leagues of Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, confirmed the Cuban Baseball Federation (FCB).

Yovani Aragón, vice-president of the FCB, informed Jit newspaper that the espirituano pitcher Yoen Socarrás traveled to the Dominican Republic to work with Leones del Escogido.

He also indicated that Camagüeyan shooter Frank Madan and Granma outfielder Raico Santos are joining the Tigres de Aragua in the Venezuelan league.

Both events begin their schedules this October until the end of January, on the eve of the 2022 Caribbean Series.

These agreements are part of the implementation of the recruitment strategy of Cuban athletes abroad, which as has been reiterated has closed doors in the professional circuits of the United States because of the blockade policy maintained by that government towards the island.
