Havana's basketball player Guzman with great start of season in Romania
Havana, October 30 (RHC)-- Another outstanding performance starred Havana-born basketball player Karel Guzman in the Romanian National League, where he led his club U-Banca Transilvania Cluj-Napoca to the most recent victory.
Guzman was chosen on Friday as the Most Valuable Player of the current Romanian champions with 18 points, seven rebounds and one assist.
With that superb performance, Guzmán led Napoca's fourth win without a setback, this time 85×70 over CSM Turgu-Jiu.
The Cuban national team forward had a highly effective day, making six shots from the perimeter (100 percent), one of two from long distance and three of his four attempts from the free throw line, in almost 27 minutes on the court.
In his second season with Napoca, Guzman is off to a hot start, already scoring 56 points in four games. He also has 20 rebounds and seven assists, as well as superb defensive performances.
Napoca will return to the court on Wednesday, November 3 when they face Israeli Hapoel Holon in the Champions League.
