The Andalusian team, second in the championship, reached 50 points, three behind Los Merengues, thanks to goals by Argentine Alejandro Dario "Papu" Gomez in the 70th minute and Rafael Mir (75th).
The visiting club suffered its 10th setback of the tournament and was relegated to 14th position, with 26 points.
Today, Real Madrid will visit Villarreal in one of the four Saturday matches of Matchday 24 and third-placed Betis will visit Levante on Sunday.
