Havana, December 16 (RHC)-- Mexican Daniel Ramirez defeated Yosbany Veitía in a duel that left Domadores de Cuba's consecutive winning streak in professional boxing at 15.
Ramirez, known as "Tubo", won a 2-1 verdict in an eight-round 118-pound bout in Ciudad Juarez.
The judges who saw the local fighter win issued verdicts of 78-74 and 77-74, which decided his fifteenth success in 21 outings as a rented bantamweight.
Veitía, world champion in 2017, thus lived an adverse debut in scenarios of that type, although one of the officials voted 78-74 in his favor.
"The locale weighed", commented to the JIT publication a witness of the duel, registered as the culmination of the season lived since last May 20 by the Cuban franchise.
