Havana, December 6 (PL) -- The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) today banned Luis Rubiales for three years for kissing a player during the World Cup.

The former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), may not have any relationship with the federated soccer activity during that period of time, said the Disciplinary Committee of the governing body.

FIFA applied article 13 of its Disciplinary Code, which allows the sanctioning of people who violate the integrity of others by using derogatory words or actions.

The non-consensual kiss on the mouth to Jenni Hermoso occurred during the celebration of Spain's world title at this year's World Cup in Sydney.
