Havana, May 22 (PL).- The prominent Cuban weight trainer Luis Ramón Madrigal Falcón died early Monday in Havana at the age of 82.
Exalted in 2020 to the Hall of Fame of the Pan American Weightlifting Federation, Madrigal is considered one of the best trainers in the world and founder of the national team, recalled the Jit portal, of the Cuban Sports Institute (Inder).
He recalled that the coach achieved success in multiple foreign competitions, such as the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan American and Central American and Caribbean Games.
The digital publication Jit recalled that Madrigal also had notable work as a collaborator in Colombia, a team with which he obtained meritorious results.
Athletes and coaches of the Cuban weightlifting team will pay tribute to his memory with an honor guard at his funeral, concludes the official organ of the Cuban Sports Institute (Inder).
