Havana, February 18 (RHC)-- The hotel chain MGM Muthu Hotels, based in Singapore, has began operating a facility in Cayo Guillermo, located in the central-northern region of Cuba. A report published by the Spanish electronic bulletin "Buen Viaje a Cuba" said that it is the Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo that began operating in Jardines del Rey, one month before the scheduled opening date, next April.
This five-star all-inclusive resort is located on the beach-front of Playa Pilar, and will initially operate with 425 of its 500 rooms, until the total completion of the construction work.
The beginning of operations of the new establishment, owned by the Cuban group Gaviota, now allows the Jardines del Rey destination to exceed 8,000 hotel rooms (8,400 in 18 hotels).
MGM Muthu Hotels, based in Singapore, will soon operate a second hotel in Cuba, Playa Varadero, with 385 rooms and four stars, as reported by the Cuban hotel chain Gran Caribe.
