New York, May 6 (RHC)-- Brazil's far-right President Jair Bolsonaro made the last minute decision to cancel his trip to the United States after many New York venues refused to host a gala dinner honoring him.
Due to Bolsonaro's past racist, homophobic and misogynist remarks, organizers saw multiple venues in New York refuse to host the gala dinner, including the American Museum of Natural History. The Bolsonaro boycott has left the Brazilian president dismayed as many sponsors of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce withdrew their support for the event. Major sponsors such as Delta Air Lines, The Financial Times and Bain & Co this week yanked their support for the event.
