World leaders congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Ottawa, November 9 (RHC)-- Heads of state around the world have offered congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris -- the president and vice president-elect of the United States. Among those offering their best wishes: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau; French President Emmanuel Macron; German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. 

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro -- a major Trump ally -- has remained silent on Joe Biden’s victory. 

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani celebrated Trump’s loss, saying the next U.S. administration had an opportunity to “make up for past mistakes” -- a reference toTrump’s unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
