Sao Paulo, November 17 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, held a meeting on Monday with the Bolivian community residing in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, to thank them for their support for the recovery of democracy in the country, with their vote in the October 2020 elections.

During the meeting, the Bolivian leader expressed his gratitude "to all our Bolivian residents, here in Brazil, in Sao Paulo, who have trusted our government, who have trusted us last October 2020, who have given us a majority support.  For your support, we are grateful."  "Thanks to all of you we have recovered democracy in our country," Arce said.

Luis Arce proposed that in a year's time, in November 2022, a new meeting be organized in which he could participate along with the entire Bolivian community.  Arce later posted on his official Twitter account that it was a pleasure "to meet, to have a good time," he said.

"We exchanged criteria on the economic progress in Bolivia, the recovery of education and health. We also explained our plan to reactivate cultural tourism," he added.  "Our compatriots, with their artistic expressions, are ambassadors of our culture in Brazil. We are grateful for the affection they expressed to us in this emotional meeting. We will meet again in a year's time, thank you Bolivian sisters and brothers!" he stressed.

During his stay in Brazil, the Bolivian president will also meet with members of the Central Única de Trabajadores (CUT) of that country.
