La Paz, February 20 (RHC)-- The Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI) will present a report on March 2nd before the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) that will demonstrate the transgressions committed by its Secretary General, Luis Almagro, in 2019, said the Bolivian ambassador to the OAS, Héctor Arce.

Hector Arce emphasized that Almagro broke the fundamental principles of transparency, suitability and that he does not expect an apology from the high official of the OAS, but that he takes responsibility for the events that occurred in 2019.

The Bolivian official added that the report seeks that the OAS knows the truth and the details of the facts, and that this type of situation will not happen again in any context and under any circumstances.

Bolivia's representative to the OAS recalled how from the publication of the report of an alleged audit of the October 2019 general elections by the Secretariat of the Organization of American States, acts were generated that led to violence, political instability and subsequent constitutional violations.

Likewise, Arce highlighted that the report presented by the regional organization in this case was full of falsehoods that generated a chain of events that had its peak on November 10 with the constitutional breakdown.

Regarding the report, Hector Arce pointed out that it would be important to present a similar document, or the same one, to the European Union (EU) and other countries so that the reality of what happened in the Andean nation in 2019 is known.
