Mexico City, November 8 (RHC)-- The president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, announced Monday that a meeting in Mexico City with several Latin American leaders would take place between November 23rd and 25th to address the issue of the integration of America.

According to the head of state, the meeting was scheduled to be held in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca with the heads of state of the Pacific Alliance, which includes Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru, but for logistical reasons the venue will be changed to Mexico City.

"We must seek economic, commercial and political integration with respect for the sovereignty of the countries, that is Mexico's approach," said the president.  In this sense, the presidents of Chile, Gabriel Boric; of Argentina, Alberto Fernández; of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso; of Peru, Pedro Castillo; of Colombia, Gustavo Petro will participate.

He also added that the confirmation of the recently elected president of Brazil, Lula Da Silva, is still awaited.  "A development with justice, for the benefit of all peoples, of all countries so that America is not considered or is considered as a continent of inequality and poverty", emphasized AMLO.
