Madrid, Apr 27 (RHC) Two people have died and four others were injured in an intentional hit-and-run that occurred on Paseo de Extremadura in Madrid, one of the main arteries connecting the south with the center of the city.
According to a witness, a vehicle was travelling at high speed and ran over the pedestrians. The two fatalities were reported to have occurred at different points of the avenue, at number 90 and number 154, ABC reported.
According to the regional public television, Telemadrid, the perpetrators of the multiple hit-and-runs would be related to an organized gang of catalytic converter theft. The serious incident would have occurred after the police stopped a suspicious vehicle, at which point it would have fled at high speed. (Source: RT)
