Gaza City, November 23 (RHC)-- Dozens of Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in new Israeli attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in northern Gaza, including a school hosting displaced people.  According to local Palestinian media reports, the targets included a school hosting displaced Palestinians in a school in al-Faluja, an area west of Jabalia, in northern Gaza on Tuesday morning.

In overnight raids, the Israeli army bombed nine homes in Beit Lahia town in the north of the Gaza Strip, causing casualties.  And, at least 25 Palestinians were killed in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, the reports also said that telecom services were completely cut off in Gaza City, and areas in the northern Gaza Strip, following the Israeli bombing of the telecom towers.

This comes amid a complete cut-off of communication and internet services in the areas of Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, as Israel targets communications towers.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education has called on countries and institutions across the world to protect the right of Palestinian children to life and education in the face of Israeli atrocities.   The ministry made the call on the occasion of World Children’s Day. It said the killing of children and students in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank violates all norms and conventions.

Iran’s foreign minister has also called for immediate and practical international measures to protect the lives of Palestinian children. Israel has killed more than 5,600 children, including 3,000 students, in the war on Gaza since October 7th.

The UN chief has warned that the blockaded territory is becoming a graveyard for children.
