Hollywood, June 3 (RHC)-- Hollywood’s Michael Douglas says U.S. student protesters are on the wrong side of history for opposing the genocide carried out by Israel. During a visit to Israel, where he was received by top officials of the apartheid regime, the actor lashed out at protesters on U.S. university campuses, claiming that many of the anti-war student activists had been exposed to “brainwashing.”
The Associated Press news agency reports that Douglas said: “When you try to talk to many of them [the student protesters], there is no education. There’s no knowledge." s
The 79-year-old actor is the latest in a string of U.S. celebrities and politicians who have visited Israel and toured the southern area of the country where the October 7th attacks took place.
Michael Douglas also met with Israel’s president, Isaac Herzog, who presented the actor with an Israeli military dog tag necklace and a yellow ribbon pin -- a symbol of solidarity with Israeli captives in Gaza.
