Washington, June 8 (RHC)-- White House officials have ordered the erection of new fencing around the U.S. presidential residence, with protesters converging to surround the complex.  The protest being held on Saturday marks eight months since the Israeli regime launched a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Organizers of the demonstration say the protesters are wearing red as a symbol to signify a red line, after U.S. President Joe Biden caved on his so-called “red line” warning to Israeli officials against in Israeli invasion of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.

Biden, who is presently in France, has been interrupted during various events by anti-war protesters.  The U.S. president has also lost more than half a million voters to the “uncommitted” movement in this year’s Democratic primaries, underscoring his own party loss due to the mishandling of the war.

On May 8th, Biden said: “I made it clear that if they [Israelis] go into Rafah -- they haven’t gone in Rafah yet -- if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities.”

Yet despite the growing outrage, Biden reneged on his promise as Israeli forces attacked Rafah from air, land and sea.

Numerous anti-war protests have been staged across the country and beyond over Washington’s role in the war.

Rafah, which borders Egypt, has turned into a huge refugee camp where the Palestinians seek safety from Israelis.
