Havana, July 18 (RHC) The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam appointed To Lam as head of that body, due to the need to continue prioritizing time for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to focus on intensive treatment for his health conditions, as well as to ensure the overall management of the Party's Central Committee, Political Bureau and Secretariat.
Such a decision was made by the Political Bureau based on the Working Regulations of the Central Committee, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the 13th term.
In recent times, at the request of the Commission for the Protection and Health Care of Cadres, Vietnam's top Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong led the work of the organization and simultaneously received medical care and treatment.
The Political Bureau, the Secretariat, key leaders and the permanent member of the Secretariat have directly instructed the specialized agencies to focus on mobilizing a team of teachers, doctors and medical personnel stationed in the field, and dedicating optimal conditions for the treatment and health care of Vietnam's top Party leader.

The Political Bureau called on the entire Party, the people and the army to have absolute confidence in the leadership of the VCP and the management of the State, strengthen unity, unite efforts and continue developing the important and comprehensive results achieved in the country, as well as strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully fulfilling the goals set by the 13th National Congress of the Party.
He also urged to maintain political stability, firmly protect independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security, order and social security, while promoting socio-economic development and ensuring the spiritual and material life of the people. (Source:Cubadebate)
