Caracas, March 30 (RHC)-- During the 25th Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), the Honduran ambassador to Venezuela, Scarleth Ivette Romero, emphasized that her government remains firm in requesting the United States to end unilateral coercive measures against member countries of the integrationist bloc.
“We reaffirm our struggle to have Cuba removed from the list of blockaded and terrorist countries, the lifting of unilateral coercive measures against Nicaragua and Venezuela, and we reaffirm our solidarity with their peoples,” stated the Honduran diplomat.
Ambassador Scarleth Romero affirmed that her country and other countries around the world are well aware of the invaluable contributions of the Cuban people and government to the well-being of the vast majority.
She also affirmed that as countries in the same region, they must commit to democracy as a genuine process. The representative of the Honduran government reaffirmed the invitation to the ninth ALBA-TCP Summit of Heads of State, to be held on April 7, 8, and 9 in Tegucigalpa.
