Boston, April 16 (RHC)-- A U.S. federal judge in Massachusetts has ruled against the Trump administration, temporarily blocking its attempt to revoke deportation protection and work permits for an estimated half a million people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela living in the U.S. under a humanitarian parole program.
Guerline Jozef, executive director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance, said in a statement: “Hundreds of thousands of our neighbors will go to sleep tonight knowing that the Trump administration’s attempts to delegitimize and criminalize our communities have been thwarted, for now. This win is a testament to the power and dedication of our communities.”
