San Jose, January 21 (RHC-teleSUR) -- Social movements from Central America will meet next week in a Latin American Unity summit, to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica, one day ahead of the Third Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States being held in the Costa Rican capital.
The summit of movements, which will take place on January 27th and 28th, will discuss ways to further integrate the region, and several Latin American presidents are scheduled to take part in the meeting.
According to Luis Chavarria, from Costa Rica's Undeca Workers' Union, around 100 Costa Rican organizations will participate in the meeting of organizations.
The social movements and organizations will propose a series of measures to deepen regional integration and fulfill the demands of the people in the region, such as joint public health projects and a Latin American bank which can provide loans at low interest rates.
