Beijing, August 5 (RHC-Xinhua), -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted 16 km ENE of Tonala, in Chiapas, Mexico at 0913 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 109.93 km, was initially determined to be at 16.1634 degrees north latitude and 93.6213 degrees west longitude.
There were no immediate reports of damage from the area.
