San Francisco, August 27 (RHC)-- A recent study shows that global warming has worsened drought conditions in the U.S. state of California by as much as 27 percent. The report points to wildfires in the U.S. state, which have spread rapidly and burned thousands of acres of forests.

The study in the journal Geophysical Research Letters confirms rising temperatures are sucking water out of plants and soil, worsening the drought by as much as 27 percent.
