Bogotá, September 1 (RHC)-- Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos expressed satisfaction with advances made during the latest round of peace talks in Havana, Cuba, between his government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP).
In presenting the results of the program “Estamos Cumpliendo” (We are Doing Our Part), Santos said that peace negotiations have advanced significantly, particularly on issues such as achieving justice and ending the armed conflict.
The Colombian head of state commented that during the just concluded 40th round of peace talks, which lasted roughly three weeks, the two negotiating teams achieved the best results obtained over the last six months.
