Quito, September 18 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his Colombian counterpart, Juan Manuel Santos, are set to meet on Monday in Quito to discuss the month-long border dispute between both countries. In August, the Venezuelan president closed several border crossings between the two nations in an effort to combat illegal smuggling and paramilitary activity along the border. The Venezuelan leader has long said he was willing to meet with Santos, and Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa offered Quito as the meeting place. Nicolas Maduro confirmed that the meeting will be on Monday, September 21st.
