Argentinean President Welcomes Evo Morales

Buenos Aires, September 19 (RHC-PL) -- Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez received her Bolivian counterpart, Evo Morales, at the Government Palace on Friday.

A note from the Presidency emphasized that during last night's meeting, the two leaders tackled bilateral issues and reviewed the current situation in the region.

The meeting was attended by Argentinean Foreign Minister Hector Timerman and his Bolivian counterpart, David Choquehuanca; Secretary General of the Presidency, Eduardo de Pedro, the Bolivia ambassador, Liborio Flores. 

After the audience, Morales went to the locality of Dique Lujan where he was awaited by the presidential candidate and outgoing governor of Buenos Aires, Daniel Scioli.

In the afternoon, along with Scioli the Bolivian President supported the candidature to president of FpV candidate, in a public ceremony in La Plata City and highlighted the 'economic and social policies carried out by the Argentinean government.

In his first activity after his arrival in Argentina yesterday, Evo Morales received Doctor Honoris Causa titles from the National University of Jose C. Paz and the National University of Quilmes (UNQ), where he also explained the origin of the Movement that brought him to the presidency.

For his part, the UNQ rector, Mario Lozano, affirmed that award to Evo Morales, tries to strengthen ties with our homeland, highlighting the presidents of this new era in South America.
