Caracas, February 17 (RHC) – Social movements, lawmakers and members of the Venezuelan government are protesting against the Amnesty Bill that right-wing members of the National Assembly want to approve despite its unconstitutional nature.
Héctor Rodríguez, head of the Great Patriotic Pole, called on the protesters to defend their position -- both in the media and in the streets -- to prevent the passage of the legislation.
He also warned that the Amnesty Bill would free people involved in crimes like corruption, and those that have been carrying out an economic war since 1999 – calling such a move a flagrant violation of the Venezuelan Constitution.
