Havana, October 26 (RHC)-- Visiting Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa reaffirmed his country's support for Cuba against the blockade policy imposed and maintained by ten consecutive U.S. administrations against the Caribbean state.
The Portuguese president is currently in Havana on a two-day state visit that concludes on Thursday. He noted that his country's parliament consistently passes legislation against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, regardless of the party in power.
During his stay, he is scheduled to hold talks with President Raúl Castro to review the state of bilateral ties. The Portuguese head of state will also deliver a lecture at the University of Havana.
President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa is being accompanied by a large business delegation made up of executives representing several sectors, who will participate along with Cuban entrepreneurs in a bilateral forum to explore business opportunities.
