Havana, September 5 (RHC) – The President of Suriname, Desire Delano Bouterse, visited Havana this week and met with his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website called the visit fruitful. It said President Delano Bouterse had voiced satisfaction with Cuba’s arrangements for his visit. The two sides expressed their governments’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Suriname president was received back in his country by Vice President Ashwin Adhin, ministers and other government officials, and Cuba's Ambassador, Manuel Rubido.
