U.S. solidarity network with Cuba plans actions against blockade

Minneapolis, October 20 (RHC)-- The National Network on Cuba is meeting in Minneapolis, in the U.S. state of Minnesota, for its annual conference.  Activists are discussing actions to demand the lifting of the criminal blockade imposed by Washington against Cuba, as well as other issues related to bilateral relations.

The meeting opened at Augsburg University on Friday and participants are meeting over the weekend to debate resolutions endorsed by authorities in different cities of the U.S., calling for better relations between Cuba and the United States.

The First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy to the U.S., in Washington, Miguel Fraga, is attending the meeting in Minneapolis as a special guest.  The Cuban diplomat is taking part in panel discussions with U.S. solidarity activists attending the three-day conference.

The U.S. National Network on Cuba is an organization that represents more than 50 groups, united together in their opposition to Washington's blockade of Cuba and working for the complete normalization of relations between the two countries.
