Washington, July 3 (RHC)-- The Donald Trump Administration has placed the Cuban company Cubametales on its unilateral list of entities sanctioned because of their links with Venezuela, citing its presumed circuvention of US ilegal sanctions on the South American country.

As part of its persistent interference, Washington promotes different actions towards a regime change in Venezuela, seeking to replace democratically elected president Nicolas Maduro by Juan Guaidó, head of the Venezuelan National Assembly, parliament in contempt, and  self-proclaimed president, with the White House’s blessing.

Cuba's support for Venezuela has been repeatedly used by the US administration to justify new measures against the island, which has reiterated its solidarity with the South American country.

Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla reacted to the measure on Twitter, affirming that the United States does not have the right to impose unilateral measures on Cuban entities or on any country that trades with Venezuela.

“It is a violation of international law, of the rules that govern trade, and an attack on relations between sovereign states,” Rodriguez said.
