Camagüey, September 20 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel says that, as a result of all the measures adopted in recent weeks to mitigate the impact of the fuel crisis, the country has experienced minimal effects.
The Cuban leader visited on Thursday the provinces of Las Tunas, Ciego de Avila and Camaguey, where he told local authorities that Cuba’s response undermined the intentions of the US Administration. He stated that the Empire once again has been proved wrong. Its plans are uniting us more and strengthening us more, and he observed that the best response has been given by the people.
During his tour of the three provinces, the president was briefed about the gradual decrease in consumption and in the demand for electricity, as a result of the application of savings and control measures by state entities, with the growing participation of the residential sector.
He commented that companies and organizations have the capacity for a much more efficient and rational use of energy, as is evidenced by moving of various productive and service tasks to off-peak hours.
