Matanzas, June 22 (RHC)-- The temporary working group for the confrontation with the COVID-19 in Cuba, headed by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, has decreed the first phase of the recovery for the province of Matanzas.

The measure will become effective in all the municipalities of that territory as of this Tuesday, June 23rd.  The health indicators allow the transition to this higher stage in the fight against the new coronavirus, without losing the perception of risk.

All residents of Matanzas are urged to maintain discipline and responsibility in the fulfillment of the hygienic-sanitary measures.

The start of this stage, as well as the declaration of each of its three phases, is subject to compliance with health indicators that allow the development of the epidemic in each province to be evaluated.
