Parliamentarians from several nations demand an end to U.S. aggression against Cuba

Havana, Aug 4 (RHC)-- Lawmakers from around the world have expressed solidarity with Cuba given the recent destabilization attempts and the political-media operation orchestrated by the U.S.; gestures  Deputy Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, chairwoman of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power thanked on Twitter.

The Guinea Bissau-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National People's Assembly of that African nation demanded the immediate end of the blockade imposed by the White House and acknowledged the achievement of having its vaccines against COVID-19.

Another similar organization, but in the Gambia, also sent a message of solidarity to the Caribbean island.

In Japan, Deputy Furuya Keiji reiterated, during a meeting held with Cuban Ambassador Miguel A. Ramírez Ramos, the support of the Parliamentary Friendship League of the Asian nation.

From Paraguay, Senator Carlos Filizzola, president of Frente Guasú, demanded that the right to self-determination of our people be respected and rejected the U.S. interference and blockade against the Greater Antilles.

Denis de la Reusille, a member of the Swiss National Council and the Swiss Labor Party-Workers and People's Party, demanded respect for Cuba's sovereignty.

    The Cuban people have made tremendous achievements despite the cruel blockade that began with Kennedy administration. As documented in declassified US State department documents. https://history.state.gov/historicaldocuments/frus1958-60v06/d499 The secret goal was to deny Cuba money and supplies to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government.
