The Cuban Embassy staff in the United States greeted
the reopening of the island, this November 15, 2021

Washington, November 15 (RHC)-- With a bouquet of white roses placed by the side of the National Hero José Martí bust in its entrance,  the Cuban Embassy staff in the United States greeted the reopening of the Island after 20 months of fighting Covid-19.

It is a day of special significance that Cuba returns to new normality this November 15, Ambassador Lianys Torres said.

She added that the resumption of the school year is a reason to rejoice since children are returning to their classrooms after almost two years, and the country is also resuming international flights and reactivating tourism.

We want to express our full support, especially to our scientists and our health personnel and the Communist Party of Cuba and our government, who put so much effort into making this day of celebration happen, said the diplomat.

Torres commented that on a chilly morning, the members of the embassy's staff arrived very early " to pay tribute to our José Martí" and to share the joy of this day.

Wearing white clothes and scarves allegorical to the initiative taking place on the Island, the members of the diplomatic headquarters ratified that Cuba is alive and at peace.
