Moscow, December 30 (RHC)--Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Cuban counterpart Miguel Díaz-Canel and his predecessor in office, Raúl Castro, on Christmas and New Year, and for the Island's Liberation Day, on January 1.
The Russian president stressed that relations between Moscow and Havana are developing in the "spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership" and noted that the nations "constantly carry out promising joint projects in the commercial, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres," the statement reads.
Putin also expressed hope to "continue to work closely on topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda" for the benefit of both peoples.
