Havana, May 16 (RHC)-- In tune with the times and the mandate of the new Constitution, Cuban deputies will legislate this Monday on issues related to the creation and cultural heritage in a country that has so much to treasure.

On the last day of the fifth extraordinary session of its 9th Legislature, the deputies will approve the last two of eight laws that regulate different areas.

This Monday, the National Assembly of People's Power has the analysis of the Law on the Rights of the Author and the Performing Artist on its agenda.

The same will happen with the General Law for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage.

This closes another progress cycle in the legislative schedule that began after the Constitution came into force in 2019, after a national referendum.

On Sunday,  the legislative body completed a deep procedural and judicial reform, with the approval of the Penal Code, the Law of Penal Execution, and before that the People's Courts.

The Parliament also adopted the Law on the Constitutional Rights Protection Process for the protection against damages suffered by individuals due to actions or omissions on the part of State bodies, officials or employees, individuals, or non-State entities.

On Saturday the Parliament approved three other regulations related to Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security, Protection of Personal Data, and the Natural Resources and Environment System.
