Better without blockade

Havana, October 22 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said today through his Twitter account that the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba defines the nature of U.S. policy toward the Caribbean island.

Rodriguez specified on the social network that this set of measures was strengthened to unprecedented levels during Donald Trump's administration.

"Today President Biden's policy against Cuba is regrettably and ineradicably the same Republican policy," the Cuban foreign minister noted in the text.

In the recent presentation to the national and foreign press of the national report on the effects of the blockade, between August 2021 and February 2022, Rodriguez indicated that his country has the right to live in peace.

"Everyone would be better off without the blockade. The United States would be a better country without a blockade on Cuba. The world would be better off without the blockade on Cuba," he concluded.

The Cuban people have been living under the effects of the U.S. policy for more than 60 years, which influences the quality of life and the development of their human rights.
