9th Congress of the Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba
Havana, Jan 17 (RHC) The 9th Congress of the Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba (UNAICC) will begin Wednesday at the Havana Convention Palace, and will run until Friday with the attendance of 350 delegates and guests.
The event's organizing committee confirmed that the deliberations will be held in four commissions, the first of which will deal with the organization's strategies in the conceptualization of the country's economic and social model, the second will discuss young professionals and the third will deal with the performance of the specialized societies Architecture, Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering, and Geosciences and Chemistry, all applied to construction.
The social impact of this grouping and its internal operation will be the last ones, each of them integrated by professionals from several provinces.
With more than 13 thousand members, the UNAICC was founded on December 3, 1983, as a tribute to Armando Mestre Martínez, assailant of the Moncada barracks (1953) and expeditionary of the Granma yacht (1956). (Source: ACN)
