Havana, Mar 4 (RHC) Mexican authorities returned 22 irregular migrants to Cuba through the capital's Jose Marti International Airport, Cuban Ministry of the Interior reported on its website.
With this group, made up of 11 men and an equal number of women, 254 citizens have been returned to the island from the Aztec nation in 2023, in five operations.
The information specifies that these migrants left Cuba legally to countries in the area and then joined irregular routes to cross the southern border of the United States.
As part of the migratory agreements, 42 return actions were carried out this year, with a total of 2,263 people returned (Source: Prensa Latina).
