Díaz-Canel toured Santa Clara
Havana, March 16 (RHC)-- President Miguel Díaz-Canel, together with candidates for deputies, resumed today the exchange with the people of Santa Clara, now talking with residents of the San Miguel community and workers of the Santa Clara livestock UEB.
The candidates learned about the distribution of profits, the development of pastures and fodder, and the use of a mineral supplement with zeolite, which is the result of the joint work of Agriculture, the Geominera Company and the UCLVCU.
Innovative experiences, supported by the use of science and technology in conjunction with UCLVCU, have allowed for the genetic improvement of cattle, which guarantees greater production of meat and milk. These are experiences that should be generalized in other places like this one, Diaz-Canel said.
The candidates then visited the La Jardinera mini-industry. Here, said its administrator Huberto Leyva, everything is taken advantage of and value-added products are produced, with high acceptance among residents. Cold, hot and dehydrated products are produced.
After touring different areas of the facility, in dialogue with the workers, Gilberto Puerto acknowledged that this is a "diverse candidacy, but one that has in common the dedication of all, from their responsibilities, to the people".
Talent, innovative knowledge and productive efficiency are appreciated here, in order to diversify production demanded by the population. Reaching these results has required studies, pro-activity, perseverance and passion", Díaz-Canel wrote to the workers.
The voters expressed their confidence in the candidacy that represents them and ratified to the eight candidates that "you can count on us, on the people, and we will know how to defend the legacy of our Commander in Chief, of which you are the continuity".
Special recognition was given to young Asiel, who just this Thursday turns 30 years old, and whose capacity as a constituency delegate was recognized for "taking care of the big and the small with the same love for the homeland, because he lives and suffers what he does".
