19th Ernest Hemingway International Colloquium will soon start in Havana
Havana, Apr 29 (RHC) - The 19th Ernest Hemingway International Colloquium will take place in Havana from May 3 to 5 in the context of the First International Congress of Cultural Heritage.
The Universal Art building of the National Museum of Fine Arts will host the Colloquium, where researchers, students, promoters, cultural managers, members of public institutions, among other guests, are invited.
This edition is aimed at promoting the exchange of information with specialists and institutions related to the Museum and comparing recent works on Hemingway’s life and work.
The Colloquium will also commemorate the 70th anniversary of the delivery of the Pulitzer Prize (1953) to the famous American writer; as well as the 70th anniversary of the publication in Cuba, in the Bohemia magazine, of the work The Old Man and the Sea, for which he received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The event will have the presence of different Ministers of Culture belonging to the Group of 77 and China. (Source: Prensa Latina)
