Cuba participates in regional conference on insurance in Costa Rica
Havana, May 2 (RHC) - Cuban Insurance Superintendent Noemí Benítez is participating today in the 21st Conference on Insurance Regulation and Supervision in Latin America, in Costa Rica, to analyze this matter in the nations of the region.
The appointment, which will last until Friday, is held at the Marriot hotel, in Belén de Heredia, sponsored by the Association of Insurance Supervisors of Latin America (ASSAL), together with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).
In the sessions of the Conference, panels, round tables and special interventions will be focused on matters of interest to insurance superintendents in Latin America.
Benítez explained that one of the main insurance markets in Cuba is Agricultural Insurance because, given the country's geographical situation, natural events occur with great impact, and insurance unquestionably responds to these losses, hence its importance.
The conference will be inaugurated by Tomás Soley, president of ASSAL and Superintendent of Insurance of Costa Rica; and Manuela Zweimuller, head of implementation of IAIS. (Source: Prensa Latina)
