Havana, September 17 (Xinhua-RHC) -- Cuba will hold the 32nd International Trade Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2014) from November 2nd through the 8th to attract foreign investment in its priority economic sectors, an official said in Havana on Tuesday.
The FIHAV 2014, the most important commercial event in Cuba, will offer opportunities for outside investors to enter Cuba's key economic sectors, such as renewable energy, agriculture and tourism, and give them upgraded law instruction, said Yohaney Savigne, a specialist of Cuba's Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Investment.
Cuba's new law for foreign investment was approved by the parliament in March this year, replacing previous legislation established in 1995, when then President Fidel Castro opened a number of sectors to foreign investors for the first time.
