Havana, November 29 (RHC)-- Students, workers and young people from the central Cuban province of Ciego de Ávila took part this Wednesday in a march for peace for the Palestinian people, in which they raised their voices for the cessation of criminal aggression and the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of Avilanians concentrated in the main streets of the city, expressed their solidarity with the inhabitants of Palestine in the face of Israel's indiscriminate bombings, and demanded respect for international humanitarian law.
The march is the expression of a historical position that the Cuban nation has in favor of peace and justice with the Palestinian people in the face of more than seven decades of violent occupation of their territories by the Zionist state.
The first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Ciego de Ávila, Liván Izquierdo, highlighted the feeling of solidarity of the locals and their demand for an end to Israel's war against the Arab nation, which has caused thousands of deaths, many of them children and seniors.
