Havana, January 17 (Web Network)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his gratitude for the support for the lifting of the U.S. blockade at the 7th African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with the largest Antillean island, which concluded on Wednesday in South Africa.

In his account on the social network X, the foreign minister also greeted the participants in that event, which also condemned Cuba's inclusion in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

At the VII African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, the 245 delegates from 28 nations adopted an action plan to strengthen collaboration with the Caribbean country, which includes the areas of Education, Health, Science and Technology; Pan-African Solidarity, Economic Cooperation; and People to People Solidarity, among others.

At the closing of the meeting, Cuba's Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta recalled the historic ties between Africa and the Island, "ties that will remain strong for many generations to come, until the end of time," he said.
