Cuba reaffirms willingness to strengthen collaboration with Seychelles

Havana, January 18 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, reiterated today his country's willingness to continue medical collaboration with Seychelles.

This was expressed by Rodríguez in a meeting with his Seychelles counterpart, Silvestre Radegonde, in the context of the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Uganda.

Through his account on the social network X, Rodríguez reported that this Thursday he concluded his participation in the ministerial meeting prior to the NAM conclave.

The head of Cuban diplomacy participated in the 5th Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter, where he proposed to continue coordinating practical actions that contribute to stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people.

The day before, he condemned, at the meeting of the NAM ministerial committee on Palestine, the murders of civilians, especially women, children and United Nations humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip.

He proposed that the ministerial committee recommend to the 19th NAM Summit to support the urgent sending to the Gaza Strip of an International Protection Mission, authorized by the United Nations General Assembly. Such a mission would have the mandate to ensure the safety and protection of the civilian population, and facilitate the delivery of urgently needed humanitarian aid and food.

He reiterated that Cuba will continue to contribute as much as possible to international efforts aimed at putting an end to the current situation. In this sense, the Caribbean nation supports South Africa's claim before the International Court of Justice against Israel. (Source: PL)
