Havana, February 24 (RHC) -- The agreements emanating from the visits made by the country's top leadership to the territories will be checked in future exchanges, it was stressed Friday during the meeting of conclusions of the visit of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel to the municipality of Calixto García in Holguín.

This was reported on the Presidency's website, which summarised the day in which, together with Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organisation of the CC PCC, the Head of State visited entities of economic and social interest in Holguín and also in Manzanillo, Granma.

In a meeting with the leaders of Holguín, Morales Ojeda pointed out that work must be undertaken to find solutions, although the response will not be immediate.

The fight against crime, the permanent and direct contact with the rank and file and strengthening the functioning of the Party as a vanguard political organisation were issues that motivated other analyses by the member of the Political Bureau, who recalled that the best way to do political-ideological work is to do things correctly.

"We have to get out of this situation we have lived through in recent years, on the basis that we have to work and produce, and with the conviction that we can do it," the leader stressed towards the end of the meeting.

The Head of State called for a distinction to be made between experiences that are inspiring, those that work, and those that are bad, and emphasised the value of being able to turn the bad into something good.

On the growth of the ranks of the Cuban Communist Party, the President reflected that in the difficult circumstances in which the country finds itself, there are people who are doing heroic things for which they deserve to join the ranks of the vanguard political organisation.

Addressing the issue of the importance of participation in social networks, Díaz-Canel stressed that a mobile phone in the hands of a revolutionary is a combat weapon with which to confront the discrediting campaigns mounted by the enemies of the Revolution.

The Cuban President stressed the importance of promoting activities and spaces that guarantee the participation of the people. He also pointed out that the plans drawn up must be fulfilled, and that food production is a priority, a possible task, as well as a task that cannot be postponed.

On Friday morning, in Manzanillo, Granma, the Head of State called for systematic work so as not to lose what has been achieved, while talking to workers of the "20th Anniversary" Accumulators Company."What we cannot lose is the factory," said Díaz-Canel, in his usual concern that what is useful and necessary for the country should not be disfigured because of material pressure or idleness.
